The longer I work on this the more I realize, that Jaune and Barbera are actually equals on a peculiar level. I always saw Jaune as stupid and impulsive - which she is - but shes able to fend for herself against Barbera, which I cant say for Gabriel, who would have the mental capacity. Jaune and Barbera enjoy havoc on the same level and have a very destructive streak. They dont need excuses. Though Jaune does still care, how others percieve her.
