Commentary This chapter went through some heavy edits. In the very beginning, the whole chapter was just 4, 5 lines by Laurel and the Lady talking about how they met. In the first of showing-not-telling-of-the-meet-up draft, Laurel walked in on L and Schroedinger and handed himself in, but the dynamics of the scene did not play out well, since all motivations and positions stayed the same in course of the chapter. It was a bit of a stretch to put L and Schroedinger in charge of the very investigation of MB that got shut down by Jaune s outburst, but it works better and i toyed with the idea for a long time anyway.
The next hardest thing is not to make Schroedinger and L explain us, what they already know... which they do on this very page and I am sorry of not having found a better solution without stretching this even further. I am particularily happy though to have found a solution of their rapid commentary over the heads of MB.
