I debated for a long time, if Gabriel would go for a person, that is not reaaally a monster in her eyes. Mr Joyce is actually dangerous with her weird perceptions about mental health and somebody with prejudices in the position of teacher is a danger. It s not the kind of danger, Gabriel hunts, though. Then: Gabriel WOULD go for people who enable monsters and defend them and Joyce is guilty of that. In the end, I decided, that Gabriel would help out - even though she would probably have given Joyce a bruise to remember but not the kind of viciousness, Jaune unleashes. Thats one of the main reasons, i drew her looking away in the panel, Jaune goes mental. Her thoughts in the last panel are along the lines of: How is she supposed to learn from ZAT?
