I think, I use green eyes when I want to draw special attention to Gabriel seeing a Monster. She obviously still sees one in that middle attack-panel - but the green and red combination makes for quite the festive, happy color combo. I had much more green on this page at one point, but took it out due to the way too jolly feel. I considered writing down some rules when to use green eyes and when not. Gabriel is psychotic on the whole page - but she s almost permanently in that stage. For now I will keep only drawing her eyes green when shes really, really pissed off at a monster or i want to make it extra clear that she s not seeing what we re seeing.
