Honestly. I cannot tell you, why Jaune has a go at him with a cattle prod. The original idea was, that she tries out several instruments with Jey in the back and he accidentally gets hit by everything and the last instrument is the cattle prod. This is much more a Barbera kind of Weapon. But this is something Jaune will realize later, not that this is relevant to the story. Also - there is a lot of body contact going on when she fires it off now... and i do think the energy would transfer and fry her, too.
