Not entirely sure if i mentioned this before - but before this chapter, Mukoshi used an old sign to contact L: Planting green billboards with a white zero around town. One of them was on advertising hill. L couldnt miss it. Of course she knows that Mukoshi survived their last meeting and thinks he will ask her to kill him now. Shes completely floored by the information that Schrödinger met up with Mukoshi. L is very careful about information distribution and she has no control over what two old aquaintances might share with each other and sees this as a danger. She presents as a gloating villain here, because she is trying to climb on top of the conversation again. She swaps powers here. him imploring her to stop whatever she is doing and returning to him and here she offers the opposite: if he d just let go completely, she could give him some purpose.
If he were to actually accept this, shed probably make an effort to manipulate him into thinking, theyre back together or shes doing something good with drastic measures and have him help with the planning and gabriels part of the whole situation.
readers, in the end, arent we silly women always doing all of it for a man? ...
